Control Design Expertise

Before HK System begins the development of your control solution, we work with your team to design and document the specifics of your operation and technology. This effort called the Detailed System Requirements Specification (DSRS), is authored by HK with your input and approved by all parties to be the roadmap for a cohesive control strategy.

Emulation Testing For Total Integrity

Pioneered in material handling by HK Systems in the early 1980's the use of a computer based model to test equipment control logic is a vital phase of in-house integration of a control system prior to installation. HK's engineers develop a dynamic graphical model of the equipment to be controlled, complete with every discrete I/O. This PC model is connected to the controller processor and "emulates" the actions and reactions of the actual equipment. This controller, also connected to the Equipment Management System (EMS) computer, can now be rigorously tested through an infinite number of scenarios and sequences before being shipped to your facility.

Equipment Management System (HK EMS)

The heart of our control system is the HK EMS software system. This unique product controls and coordinates the activity of nearly every type of automated equipment in an integrated fashion. HK EMS is a client/server software product that can be configured with your specific business rules to operate your facility.

The HK EMS software tier of control is based on a product unlike any in the history of automation. This is the first product designed to be configured for any automated environment, to provide an unequaled array of functions and look like it was custom made for the facility it controls. Utilizing a unique menu of configuration tools, the engineer is able to literally mold the application to your specific equipment and business rules and the user is able to then alter and tune this system as their business and equipment changes.
